Torquay Tornadoes Hockey Club

Our history and future

The Torquay Tornadoes Hockey Club was established in 2010. The club plays in the Geelong Hockey Association. We pride ourselves on being an inclusive, welcoming and friendly club.

We recognise that sport forms a massive part of family’s weekends and that our future success is connected to our juniors. The environment we establish for our juniors will shape their lives.

We aim to provide the best community sporting environment that we can for our members. We will work hard to make this our legacy. We have men’s, women’s and girls and boys hockey teams.

  • Club & Affiliation Fees

    All hockey players must also be members of Hockey Victoria – this is an additional fee to the club fees. The cost of the affiliation depends on the age of the player.

  • Fixtures

    The venue for games varies dependant on the age group. Please see Hockey Geelong fixtures for game details.

    The main hockey centre is Geelong Hockey Centre in Geelong which has a synthetic ground. New players are always welcome to join our club in men’s, women’s and junior competitions.

    Torquay Hockey Club has over a dozen Deakin University students playing for the club and students from a range of other universities.

    We have created a great club culture that embraces student values of fun affordable sport.
